I’m working on a series of paintings inspired by Grand Prix Jumping.

There’s a feeling of sheer bliss when you and a horse move fluidly together. I haven’t jumped at this level. But even at the lower levels where I have participated, it’s an emotional thrill to be in sync with your horse.

Years of training, a powerful bond of trust and effective communication let horse and rider compete with grace and speed in this thrilling and potentially dangerous sport.
